Summary of Job Duties:
Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses in welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, safety, layout and fabrication) as well as maintaining training/certification through ongoing professional development. Other duties will include engagement with advisory council; assessment/evaluation of instruction; student advisement, recruitment, and retention activities; and participation in college and University committees. The position reports to the department head of Engineering.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or
Work Experience:
Associate degree in welding or combination of education/training, experience, and technical certification
Preferred Education and/or
Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; previous teaching experience
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Classroom instruction
Blackboard course shell development and production
Safety training and documentation
Maintenance of equipment and laboratory facilities
Professional development
Service to college and University, including advising and committees
Curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation
Assessment and evaluation of instruction
