Johns, Nassau, Clay, and Bradford areas to provide services for the 0-3 year old population. This job is for those who are independent, like to create their own hours and work well in interacting with families and other healthcare providers. This position requires you to travel to the homes of the family or visits can be done via telehealth. Responsibilities Provide individualized support and early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities. Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning and growth in a classroom or daycare setting. Collaborate with families to create tailored care plans and ensure effective communication. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment while managing classroom behaviors. Document progress and participate in team meetings to discuss strategies for improvement. Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and developmental milestones. This job has the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or early childhood/special education, child and family development, family life specialist, preschool education, prekindergarten education, communication sciences, psychology, or social work. You MUST have 1500 hours of experience in working with kids from 0-5 years of age with disabilities. OR Bachelor’s degree or higher with a degree in Rehabilitation with coursework related to serving the visually impaired OR a bachelor’s degree as a teacher. You MUST have 1500 hours of experience in working with kids from 0-5 years of age with disabilities.

IN ADDITION

to any option above : a. An ITDS applicant with an in-field or equivalent degree must provide documentation of at least one year of post-degree professional experience in early intervention using the Early Steps Certification of Experience form. You MUST have 1800 hours of experience in working with kids from 0-5 years of age with disabilities. b. An ITDS applicant with an out-of-field degree must provide documentation of at least five years of post-degree professional experience in early intervention using the Early Steps Certification of Experience form. You MUST have 1800 hours of experience in working with kids from 0-5 years of age with disabilities. Finally, since we are strictly home and school based, you must be able to provide your own reliable transportation to and from your appointments.
