Energy and Marine Center, Zoo Tampa, Crossbar Ranch and the Museum of
Archeology, Paleontology and Science at Wendell Krinn.
JOB SUMMARY
This employee is responsible for the supervision and instruction of incoming 5th grade students in Pasco’s Title I summer PEACE camp. PEACE teachers will be instructing students in outdoor settings. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Planning1. Attend pre camp first aid and curriculum meetings.2. Review curriculum created for each environmental center.3. Make initial welcome calls to all students assigned to you.
Monitoring1. If problems or concerns arise, teachers will communicate those to parents, PEACEsupervisors, and or principals.2. Teachers will be primarily responsible for administrating any medical needs orbehavioral interventions for their students.
Reporting1. Teachers will be responsible for the grading and reporting of pre and post campassessments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree2. Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate.3. 2 years successful teaching experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Attendance in environmental workshops or trainings.2. General love of the outdoors and outdoor education.3. Elementary teachers preferred.
