Duty Locion:

FCC Pollock, LA Duties Responsible for the originion, planning, implemention, and evaluion of the following types of educion programs: Adult Continuing Educion, Literacy, General Educion Development, English as a Second Language, parting educion, Post-Secondary Educion, Occupional/Vocional educion, special learning needs programs, release readiness, and leisure library and law library. Determines program needs for the total inme populion and is responsible for monitoring the range of programs in both the educion and/or recreion areas. Makes periodic evaluions of academic, vocional, and/or recreional programs, and keeps abreast of constantly changing developments. Establishes, monitors and maintains management informion systems and use of this da to report on program performance and plans for program adjustments. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. A. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution th included or was supplemented by supervised student teaching and least one course in each of the following areas: general psychology, human development, history and/or philosophy of educion, and teaching methods the learning level of the position to be filled, i.e., elementary or secondary learning level. OR B. Combinion of educion and experience – Applicants who have completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s degree but who do not meet the specific course requirements shown above meet minimum qualificion requirements if they have completed least 1 full academic year of professional teaching experience the elementary or secondary school level as approprie to the position to be filled.
