Job Description
Applicable Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure required.
DESE Special Education Severe licensure preferred.
Transition Certificate or Transition experience preferred.
Job Description:
Serve as a special education liaison for students ages 18-22.
Coordinate a variety of community job sites and internships for students in areas of student interest and alignment with the students’ IEP vision and postsecondary transition plans.
Conduct transition assessments.
Serve as a liaison to state agencies such as DDS, MassAbility, and other agencies.
Instruct students on transitional skills such as money management, daily living skills, resume writing, and travel training.
Effectively lead the classroom and collaborate and coordinate with paraprofessionals/ABA tutors to support students at job sites.
Develop and implement IEPs and facilitate associated meetings with caregivers and other Team members.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with caregivers, other Team members, and all other stakeholders.
