Position Summary:
We are currently seeking responsible, patient, and enthusiastic Driving Instructors to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will teach teens and adults the skills and knowledge necessary to become safe, skilled drivers. You will deliver both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training in accordance with Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behind-the-wheel driving instruction to students of all skill levels. Conduct classroom instruction on Maine traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving techniques. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, progress reports, and driving logs. Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all students. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and office staff regarding scheduling and progress. Ensure all vehicles used for instruction meet safety standards. Stay current with Maine BMV regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 26 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record. Maine State Driving Instructor License (or willingness to obtain – we can assist with the process). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Prior teaching or training experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Flexible scheduling – evenings and weekends often available. On-the-road instruction throughout assigned service areas. Classroom instruction may be in-person or virtual, depending on course type.

4 hour shift 8 hour shift Weekends as needed
