Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This tech savvy, people-facing member of the Education and Training team delivers high-energy, interactive career readiness, life skills and staff professional development workshops through groups and digital platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Delivers workshops and training, and individual sessions with participants as needed, to assist them in improving their well-being and assisting Career Advisor with producing tailored work focused action plans when needed. + Conducts workshops on topics such as career development The Power of Possible, stress management, conflict resolution, communication skills, digital literacy skills, English language skills, conflict resolution, parenting skills, and others. + Conducts staff training during the initial onboarding phase and delivers continued professional development throughout the year. + Meets with participants 1:1 to discuss and explore options for further education and training. + Maintains Participant records in FedcapCARES to ensure the Participant journey is documented in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards. + Meets personal performance targets, KPIs and all quality and compliance measures by delivering high quality employability provision to participants, both remotely and face to face + When delivering training remotely ensures appropriate digital technologies are utilized in an environment that supports privacy and confidentiality of attendees + Assist participants and staff in using technology, including working with them in the business networking centers. + Plans and assists in development of content and materials needed for each workshop by conducting research of best practices for working with adult learners. + Assigns activities and learning assignments to participants and tracks progress and completion. + Attend evaluation and training team meetings weekly and give feedback to the team on which participants are ready to work, and any other relevant information pertinent to participant obtaining employment. + Conducts academic, aptitude and interest evaluations and makes recommendations for further education, job training and employment. + Evaluates credentials attained in other countries and assesses their alignment with US/local employment and educational requirements. Required Education and Job Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, vocational rehabilitation, life skills coaching, human services, or related field and/ or equivalent work experience. + Two years of adult teaching experience, workshop facilitation or workforce development coaching. + Or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. + Experience working with public assistance recipients, homeless, formally incarcerated, individuals with disabilities and/or those affected by the challenges associated with poverty a plus. + Bi-lingual is a plus (French, Portuguese, Arabic, Lingala, Somali).
