Lead Culinary Instructor 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 100 Alumni Boulevard, Sanford, ME 04073 Inspire the Next Generation of Culinary Artists and Fire Up Your Teaching Career! SRTC is seeking a passionate, innovative educator to lead our prestigious Culinary Arts program (CIP 12.0503). This rewarding full-time position begins August 26, 2025, spanning 178 school days through June, 2026. In this dynamic two-year program, you’ll guide high school students to develop comprehensive culinary expertise while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in professional food preparation and restaurant operations. From mastering classical cooking techniques to creating sophisticated dining experiences, your students will develop the essential skills needed to excel in the thriving culinary industry.
Craft Culinary Excellence:
As a Culinary Arts instructor, you’ll enhance a program that operates alongside our new Baking and Pastry program in our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen. You’ll orchestrate immersive learning experiences, bringing in professional chefs who share their industry expertise directly with students. First-year students will build strong culinary foundations while contributing to our vibrant student-run restaurant. Second-year students will elevate their skills through advanced techniques and valuable management training, preparing them for immediate career success. You’ll create an engaging, dynamic learning environment that sparks creativity and fosters growth, while expertly delivering curriculum that prepares students for successful careers or continued education in the expanding culinary field. Your passion for working with young people, combined with your love of cooking, will position students for exceptional opportunities in this rewarding industry. You’ll collaborate with other innovative SRTC programs to create interdisciplinary learning experiences while establishing valuable community partnerships that provide students with real-world job shadowing and hands-on experiences that build their professional portfolios.
