High School Career & Technical Education Teacher Job Description TITLE:

7-12 CTE Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of an Associates Degree in related field with 4 years of related work experience. The teacher should have an area of expertise for one of the following CTE programs of study: Agriculture (Drone/Natural Resources/Sustainable Ag); Business, Finance, and Marketing Education (Sport/Event Marketing, Hospitality & Tourism); Family and Consumer Sciences (Child Development, Hospitality & Tourism); or Technology Education (Drones, Computer Science, Game Art Design). Candidates must have the ability to obtain CTE Licensure within 3 years.

RELATED DEGREES

Associates or Bachelors in related field. This is a 10-month position that follows the Academic Calendar.

Principal/CTE Director

JOB GOAL

To help students explore and learn skills that will contribute to their educational and social development in the area of Career and Technical Education.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. ? Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. ? Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students. ? Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives. ? Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required. ? Counsels with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis. ? Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
