Pipe Welding Instructor (Part-Time Nights) Arclabs Welding School 2250 Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 Arclabs Welding School in Rock Hill is growing! We are looking to add a full time night and day shift instructor to our team! Adjunct instructors (Part Time) who wish to work a few hours a week should also apply. This position is a welding instructor who coaches and mentors students to gain employment in the welding field. Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration Grading assignments, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students in a timely manner Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment Advise students as it relates to school policies, satisfactory performance, etc. Maintain communication with Lead Welding Instructor regarding such activity Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Lead Welding Instructor Monitor & maintain all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities Submit purchase orders to the purchasing department for all necessary items Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from administrative office when needed Maintain professional appearance at all times Communicate with administration on all issues related to students Maintain professional expertise (faculty development) to meet accreditation standards by attending educational seminars in professional field, reading current literature, attending online courses, etc. Ensure that students follow the catalog guidelines daily Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings set by the cooperate office Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention, etc.) as assigned based upon expertise or campus needs Perform other duties as required’

Requirements:

Must be able to pass the following weld test 3G and 4G

GMAW/FCAW

combo Mig root uphill or downhill Flux core fill and cap on 3/8 carbon steel plate. 6G

GTAW/SMAW

combo on 4in sch80 carbon steel pipe. Arclabs is an EOE.
