Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace manufacturing firms with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our Beverly, MA (north of Boston) national/international aerospace client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their organization as a salaried direct employee. The salary target max is around $82K plus bonus. Perform technical problem solving using quality tools and knowledge in support of company goals. Support technical documentation duties related to first article inspections, customer specification reviews, drawing changes, procedure changes, and quality notes. Support customer product and process audits as needed. Work with Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments to maintain company
AS9100/ISO 9001
Quality Management System. Manage internal audit system, corrective action system and customer complaint system. Will also support both internal and external customer product returns (root cause/correct action). Perform internal quality audits and coordinate external registration audits. Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
Reviews documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements.
Compares defects against standards and recommends dispositions and verifies implementation of rework.
Collects, organizes, and analyzes project data, generates and/or reviews metrics.
Performs audits, assigns a corrective action after reviewing with direct Supervisor, and verifies implementation.
Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews.
Verifies compliance to defined requirements.
Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel.
Supports the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements. Job Requirements Required Skills /
Qualifications:
BSME or BSEE
Min 3 years of quality experience that includes: Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems
Working knowledge of MIL standards and commercial standards
Internal auditing experience (ISO and/or AS9100)
Customer interfacing
Min 5 years of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience This is an ITAR facility that requires all candidates to be able to obtain a Secret clearance due to defense customers. Preferred Skills /
