  • US•Remote•US•United States of America About the Role As a CBRE Energy Manager, you will assist with managing the team responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs.

This job is a part of the Energy and Sustainability functional area which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs. What You’ll Do Ensure that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout the US Domestic real estate portfolio. Identify and implement cost saving strategies and budget for utilities within an account. Coordinate energy procurement and implementation of new technologies. Develops, updates, communicates and implements energy efficiency standards, water efficiency standards and outstanding waste and recycling processes. Manages resource initiatives for all sites/regions/portfolio, as assigned. Develop and present monthly/quarterly energy and sustainability status and variance reports. Supervise and report on energy use, water use, waste diversion rates and spending trends. Engage team and the platform to identify and develop projects.. Formalize the scope, obtain quotes, perform project savings analysis and acquire project approval. Collaborate with the global platform on the implementation and management of energy and sustainability projects. Understand client needs and promote energy and sustainability services that align with their corporate objectives. Assist leadership team with site surveys and energy plans at other accounts as appropriate. Lead a small team that delivers large impacts and further develops team abilities. Support activities related to the formal review and unscheduled audit of numerous Strategic Alliance Partners, and external outside service providers to ensure conformance with documented CBRE or Customer policy, procedures and guidelines. Communicate past, present and future energy plans and performance through formal presentations to account team. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. CEM and LEED accreditation, preferred. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
