Responsibilities The Department of Radiology at MayoClinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking a highly qualifiedpostdoctoral Research Fellow for the CT Clinical Innovation Center,a worldwide leader in the field of CT imaging. Usingstate-of-the-art clinical and pre-clinical CT systems, our highlyproductive team investigates a wide range of CT-related topics,with a focus on developing novel, high-impact CT technologies andtranslating them into clinical practice, such as photon countingdetector (PCD) CT and artificial intelligence (AI). The ResearchFellow would conduct research on one or more of the followingareas: (1) photon counting detector
CT:
technical development andclinical applications; (2) AI in image quality enhancement,multi-energy analysis, and multi-modal deep learning; (3) imageguided radiation therapy with a focus on novel imaging techniques;(4) 6DCT in dynamic imaging; (5) cardiovascular CT imaging fordiagnosis and risk prediction. The Research Fellow would have theopportunity to collaborate with radiologists, medical physicists,and AI scientists on various research projects. Additionally, theResearch Fellow will have opportunities to explore various aspectsof clinical medical physics, potentially including shadowingexperiences. Qualifications Applicants for this position must holda Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Computer Science, Electrical andComputer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates should have an established background in X-ray physicsand imaging science. Skills in the development of machine learningalgorithms for medical imaging tasks are desirable. Proficiency inprogramming, e.g., Python/Matlab/C++, is essential. Candidates musthave a record of research publications and have excellent oral andwritten English communication skills. The successful candidate willbe expected to present research findings at professionalconferences, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and helpgrant applications. Compensation Detail $64,787.84 – $80,990.21annually Education, experience and tenure may be considered alongwith internal equity when job offers are extended.
