Strong Architectural background required, millwork and/or interior design background helpful. Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD latest versions, Excel and Word required.
Job Description:
A Draftsperson will produce detailed drawings of products and/or assemblies which, once reviewed and approved by the client and /or designer are needed for the production team to properly and accurately build that product or assembly. The drawings, produced, organized and distributed in sets, provide all parties with a visual guide to show how a product will be constructed, thus they must be inclusive of all technical details, dimensions, accessories and materials specified/approved. Closely working with Chief Engineer/Design Manager, a Draftsperson will help identify, resolve and integrate custom/specialty items or details into the design. Drawings are to be produced following a high set of standards, implemented by the success of owner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- He or she must be completely competent in Auto
CAD 2019
including but not limited to Paper space-Model space, layers, lines, blocks, x-references and plotting.
- Thoroughly study and get familiar with the project design intent, production and installation methods so these are incorporated into the drawings.
- Direct all questions, conflicts, missing information and RFI’s to Design Manager. Manager who will either provide the answers/resolution or issue a RFI or request to the appropriate party.
- Research products/materials that are required for a specific project.
RFI’s:
Request information from Builder, Designer, New Business and Project Manager. (Design Manager to confirm)
- Print/Assemble drawing sets as required.
- Design Manager will create job folders; Draftsperson will maintain and organize all project information in job file.
- Upon completion full size drawings must be printed for review and a PDF copy save in the job file. This process must be followed for review/check set as well as for shop set two (2) copies.
