This position reports to the Documentation Manager and will work in the Pompano Beach, FL facility. As CAD Drafter II of the Pompano Beach team, you will be responsible for preparing assembly and detail drawings following general instruction and directions of an engineer. You will also prepare and maintain wiring schematics, weldment drawings, installation drawings, piping drawings, etc., while keeping track of drawing revisions. General Responsibilities Prepare layouts, assembly and detail drawings utilizing CAD software for documentation of all existing, new or improved products. Provide production support drawings in a timely fashion as dictated by workload. Maintain drawing files in their proper sequence and order so that all drawings will be available when needed. Assist manufacturing with interpretation of drawings. Make orthographic or isometric illustrations as required. Assist with CNC programming as required. Directly responsible for correct documentation routing of manufacturing drawings. Maintain all necessary drafting supplies. Administering the Document Change Request (DCR) process. Work to all current ISO processes and procedures. Recommend improvements to the ISO processes. Occasionally lift 15-20 pounds. Other duties as assigned. What do we offer? SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. One (1) to two (2) years’ college or trade school education in mechanical drawing and related areas. Well-rounded, practical experience may be substituted for formal training. Minimum five (5) years on the job experience. Programming in Auto Lisp (Autocad software) and working knowledge of visual tablet is helpful. CNC programming, Merry Mechanization, Sold Works Rapid Harness, and GPO2 software knowledge beneficial.
