Position Overview:

We are looking for a CAD Designer who is proficient in SolidWorks or Creo. Your primary responsibilities will be managing the shop drawings and creating project layouts. Managing the shop drawings will require the creation of new drawings as well as revising pre-existing ones. The shop drawings are for the fabrication of all our floating dock components, such as: the floats themselves, aluminum gangways, float frames, anchoring systems, accessories, and custom parts. You will need to have experience in creating SolidWorks & Creo drawings, and have some experience in creating drawings for fabrication or machining is preferred. Creating project layouts is for designing and finalizing the details of a floating dock project. This is important for obtaining customer approval. Project layouts will require the ability to use SolidWorks & Creo 3D modeling/assembly to illustrate the logistics of a project.

Responsibilities:

• Creating shop drawings for the fabrication of dock products
• Managing, editing, and revising existing shop drawings
• Creating 3D models of dock projects to obtain customer approval
• Creating project layouts/drawings for obtaining permits
• Working/communicating with our sales team and their customers to assist in the design of their dock projects

Requirements:

• 1+ years of work experience in a similar engineering position
• Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo (Both 3D modeling and drawings)
• Organized individual with ability to track project status to keep Sales Team informed
• Motivated self-starter
• High attention to detail and accuracy
