Summary CAD Drafter is responsible for creating designs, drawings, and other technical information for use in manufacturing, construction, and fabrication.
The position reports to:
Project Manager Responsibilities Analyze project scope based on architectural or interior design drawings. Create preliminary design for price analysis. Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations. Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists Estimate material and production costs for designs. Create drawings and designs for production and manufacturing. Prepare complete documentation packages for clients. Prepare reports on changes during the process with cost implications. Develop technical reports for production. Qualifications College or university degree in drafting, interior design, architecture, or other related disciplines. Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Experience managing several projects at a time.
