Miami, FL Job Overview Toledo Iron Works is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our dynamic Design & Technical team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality shop drawings, coordinating with engineers, project managers, and fabricators, and ensuring all project details are clearly communicated and executed. If you are a meticulous CAD professional with expertise in the metalwork industry, this is an exceptional opportunity to work on stunning residential projects and contribute to our legacy of craftsmanship. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create precise and accurate shop drawings for a variety of metal fabrications including railings, fences, gates, stairs, trellises, pergolas, and more. Read and interpret architectural and structural plans to develop fabrication details. Coordinate effectively with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure project clarity. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining quality and technical accuracy. Communicate clearly with fabricators and installers, explaining drawing details as needed. Maintain organization of project files and documentation. Utilize AutoCAD proficiently for drafting and detailing. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum 8+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in metalwork. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD and computer savvy. Strong understanding of metal fabrications and industry details. Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural plans. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken, written, and read). Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong team player with the ability to ask questions and seek clarity when needed. Comfortable explaining designs and drawings to fabricators and installers.
