26227 ? ? Summary Lincoln Electric has an outstandingopportunity for a Designer/Drafter supporting our Plant Engineeringteam. The Designer/Drafter implements capital projects and providesengineering support for all Cleveland-based operations. This roleis responsible for the day-to-day 3D modeling and 2D drafting tosupport Plant Engineering and the groups it serves. TheDesigner/Drafter is expected to independently develop or modifydesigns, collaborate with relevant parties, and follow through withassigned design projects. What You Will Do
- Support PlantEngineers and other departments with the creation and/ormodification of 3D models, detail manufacturing drafts, andfacility layout drawings.
- Reverse engineer components fromphysical parts, or legacy drawings.
- Create, modify, curate, andstore electronic files using document management systems and/ordatabase system.
- Assist in the development and maintenance oftemplates and schematics.
- Maintain mechanical CAD procedures andstandards by correcting user drawings and practices, and verify andresolve issues with CAD documentation that does not meet thedefined Plant Engineering standard.
- Support internal and externalfabrication through the creation of supporting files such as .DXF,.PDF, or .STP.
- Document existing production and facility supportequipment.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed ordirected in support of the department’s goals and the Company’s2025 Strategy. Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of aHigh School Education or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years professionalexperience in design and drafting.
- Technically proficient in oneof the following Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with data management systems(PDM/PLM) using Autodesk Vault or Siemens TeamCenter.
- Experiencewith the use of measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes.
- Basiccomputer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft softwareapplications.
- Highly motivated to quickly learn 3D CAD drafting,detail print making skills, and drafting applications.
- Ability tomanage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Self-motivated with a high levelof ownership.
- Capable of working independently and as part of ateam.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with theability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to work on the production floor to perform equipmentmeasurements and design concepts.
