SR. Engineering Tech- 2D Pipe Checker (Maritime) Position Available In Sumter, Florida

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a 2D Pipe Checker to join one of ourclients in Marinette, WI. This is a 100% on-site role andrelocation assistance is available. Work hours are Monday-Friday7am-3pm.

Day-to-day:

• Checking diagrams and designs in 2D AutoCAD
• Viewing SPECs in 2d AutoCAD and checking these drawings forNAVSEA compliance and to meet end customers’ requirements The hourly rate for this role is between $30
• 35hr.

• ShipConstructor or Navis software experience
• 5-10 years of 2d checker experience
• Experience reviewing 2d drawings for completeness, designaccuracy, operational integrity, conformance, specifications andindustry standards
• Proficient working in AutoCAD
• 2d, 3d design
• Ability to create 2D models of maritime piping systems fromscratch using CAD software
• Maritime industry experience: military ships or submersibles orcommercial ships
