Employment Type:
Full-Time (in office) Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter with experience in residential construction to join our growing team. This full-time position focuses on the production and development of home plans with a production builder. Experience with AutoCAD Architecture (2D currently is needed only) residential building/design/drafting is essential. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply markups provided by various disciplines to develop accurate design layouts.
- Revise drawings according to redlines and review feedback.
- Convert rough sketches and initial designs into detailed, working documents using AutoCAD Architecture software.
- Follow established technical standards and specifications to create high-quality construction drawings.
- Collaborate with team members to refine and correct plan layouts.
- Modify, create, and release construction documents for use by purchasing and field construction teams.
- Ensure all drawings convey correct and complete information. Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, technical diploma in Architectural/Engineering Drafting or experience within the home building industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture (AutoCAD Certification is a plus).
- Strong understanding of residential construction and design standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines. Work Schedule & Compensation
Office Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (some flexibility may be possible)
