Mechanical Designer/Drafter Scope Technical Norcross, GA 30092 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our client’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed SolidWorks 3D drawings and models that support the design and development of mechanical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, proficiency in drafting software, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers to bring concepts to life. Responsibilities Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks . Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications. Create detailed technical documentation, including assembly instructions and technical writing for manuals. Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in designs. Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on design projects. Participate in design reviews and provide input on improvements or modifications. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation. Experience Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling software Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Experience with FEA tools is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with GD&T standards is essential for accurate drafting.
