Inventor Drafter/Designer DEL Corporation 436 Highway 93 N, Scott, LA 70583 AutoCAD Drafter with Nesting Experience Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventor Drafter/Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to create precise and efficient layouts, optimize material usage, and produce high-quality technical drawings. Experience with Vault is a plus. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings and layouts for various manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, laser cutting, and sheet metal fabrication. Utilize nesting software to optimize material usage and minimize waste. Generate accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, including dimensioning, tolerances, and annotations. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure design intent is accurately represented in the drawings. Review and revise drawings to maintain accuracy and consistency. Stay up-to-date with the latest AutoCAD software and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in drafting, engineering design technology, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred) Experience/knowledge of 3D modeling applications (e.g.,Inventor, Solidworks) Proven experience in AutoCAD, with a strong emphasis on 2D drafting. Proficiency in nesting software (e.g., SigmaNest, Radan, OptiNest). Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
