The CAD Designer will work with our estimating staff and our Design Engineers to produce code-compliant Fire Alarm plans for Fire Marshal Review. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. At times, applicant will also assist with any other CAD needs in our office (CCTV layouts, Access Control drawings, Security drawings, etc.) No knowledge of fire alarm systems and/or low voltage systems is required, but applicant must be willing to learn and gain certifications for career advancement.

  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design and draft fire alarm systems using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Prepare submittal packages, riser diagrams, and floor plans.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet project requirements.
  • Education/Qualification:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • 1-year minimum experience with AutoCAD
