Solidworks Sheet Metal Designer Accentuate Staffing Durham, NC 27712 Accentuate Staffing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer/CAD Designer with a strong background in sheet metal design and proficiency in SolidWorks for our client in the Durham area.
Key Responsibilities:
Sheet Metal Design:
Develop innovative and efficient sheet metal designs for various projects, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
CAD Modeling:
Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and drawings, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate conceptual designs into tangible products.
Product Development:
Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to final production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Problem-solving:
Identify and resolve design challenges and technical issues through creative problem-solving and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, optimizing design workflows, and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.
Requirements:
Prior experience in sheet metal design and fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
