AutoCAD Designer Commercial Furniture Resource 319 Richard Mine Road, Wharton, NJ 07885 Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software tools. This role involves creating detailed designs and plans for projects across multiple disciplines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. The CAD Designer will collaborate with engineers and project managers to bring innovative concepts to life. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Giza 2020. Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and layouts based on project requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather design requirements and ensure alignment with project goals. Perform mechanical design tasks, including drafting and building components for various projects. Utilize Sketchup and for visualization and presentation of designs. Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and specifications. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology to enhance design processes. Requirements Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Sketchup, MicroStation, or similar tools. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices. Experience in creating 2D animations is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about design challenges. A degree or certification in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. $26.53 – $31.95 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
