Job Description
Architecture Design Drafter 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Lancaster, PA 17603 We are currently seeking a Residential CAD Drafter with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will create detailed, code-compliant construction drawings for residential projects using AutoCAD . The ideal candidate is technically skilled, familiar with residential construction practices, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate construction documents, including: Residential floor plans Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry layouts Framing, roofing, and wall details Electrical layouts Domestic water, gas line, and sewer schematics Ensure plans meet building codes and company standards Collaborate with teams in operations, sales, and quality assurance Coordinate with local and third-party inspectors to confirm code compliance Update and revise drawings as needed based on field changes or feedback
Qualifications:
2-5 years of residential drafting experience Proficient in AutoCAD (required) Solid knowledge of residential construction methods and terminology Working understanding of relevant codes, including: IRC (International Residential Code), NEC (National Electrical Code, IPC (International Plumbing Code) is strongly preferred. Familiarity with gas and water line layouts Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to communicate effectively and work well across departments
