Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support our engineering team in creating layouts, designs, and improvements for both new and existing products. This role is ideal for a creative problem-solver with a passion for precision and technical excellence. You’ll work from sketches, marked-up prints, or limited instructions, contributing directly to the design process and collaborating with manufacturing engineers to develop tooling and fixture concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and revise complete engineering drawing packages, including ECNs, masters, and fixture/tooling designs. Interpret and convert marked-up drawings into accurate, production-ready CAD documentation. Review and check drawings for accuracy, adherence to engineering standards, and overall workmanship. Partner with manufacturing engineering on conceptualizing and designing fixtures and tooling. Maintain up-to-date and well-organized engineering documentation and drawing files. Manage ECNs through the full lifecycle—from initiation to completion. Input and verify technical data in MRP systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Protect sensitive and proprietary product and process information.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in a related field. Proficiency in DraftSight and AutoCAD . Experience with SolidWorks strongly preferred. Skilled in working with small parts and tight tolerances. Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 and industry drafting standards. Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
