Description SAIC is in need of a Quality Control (QC) Drafter/CAD Operator for our Surface Systems team in No. Charleston, SC.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The QC Drafter/CAD Operator will be responsible for providing design and drafting support to complete assembly models and drawings. Candidate will be an integral part of the team creating/updating Technical Data Packages (TDPs); being familiar with ASME standards, and military drawing standards desired. The QC Drafter/CAD Operator will coordinate frequently with the drafting team lead for current assignments, as well as coordinating with the project engineer(s), to meet the customer demands.
Qualifications Education and experience:
High school education or equivalent (GED) and five (5) years related experience; OR Associates degree in related discipline and three (3) years related experience.
Required skills:
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Adobe Pro is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Required clearance:
US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Desired skills:
SolidWorks Electrical experience and CMPRO is preferred, but not required. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
