Tool & Die Designer (part of Allegis Group) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN 37201 Description Develop designs for single stage or progressive dies for stamping and forming metal parts to meet customer production and part print specifications. Must also create a uniform CAD database suitable for construction of die components using current CAD software. Performs initial design review with Project Manager and Estimator to formulate a design plan and address such areas as development, inspection and die maintenance. May consult with team leaders in
CNC, CNC
Programming, WEDM and Grind to discuss best method of manufacture for certain die detail components. Responsible for designing die to proper revision level part print and documenting revision level on tool design and job shop control database. Creates bill of materials for purchase of all items required for die construction. Monitors material cost in relation to budget for each job. Documents important notations and benchmark dates in job shop control system. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $32.00/hr.
