AutoCAD Drafter/Designer Position Available In Sumner, Tennessee

AutoCAD Drafter/Designer Bauwerk Safety Systems, Inc 3235 B Highway 76, Cottontown, TN 37048 Job Overview We are a supplier of building maintenance, window washing, & fall protection systems all across the US and are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our growing team to compile shop drawings, project details, and other critical components of our action submittals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and plans that meet industry standards and project specific requirements. The CAD Drafter will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs are accurate, functional, and feasible. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD Create and modify engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts according to project specifications. Ensure coordination with relevant details and standards during the drafting process. Collaborate with project managers & engineers to translate concepts into practical designs. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and specifications. Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback from team members to enhance project outcomes. Maintain organized records of all design files and revisions. Experience Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD is essential. Strong knowledge and comprehension of construction drawings with an understanding of structural design principles Previous experience in a construction trade putting together comprehensive shop drawings to submit to GC or client. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a new trade & safety standards within our scope of work Creativity – our scope is design/build so there are always room for fresh ideas and improvements Previous experience in a similar role or relevant internship is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Willingness to assist in the field as needed is a plus. Willingness to travel is a plus
