Injection technical specalist~manger 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars Alexander City, AL 35010 Job Overview We are seeking an entry to high skilled and motivated Technical Specialist to Manager to oversee our technical operations and ensure the efficient functioning of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various manufacturing techniques, including plastics blow molding, machining, and plastics extrusion. This role requires a proactive leader who can assemble teams, optimize workflows, and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the set-up, startup, troubleshoot and monitor of plastic injection molding machinery and related equipment. Started up, cycled in mold and robots, in accordance with documented cycles and startup qualification procedures. 2. Planned, Directed Installation of new injection-molding department. Installing the machinery to correct specifications, installing the tooling, and setting up the process to completion. Direct mold repairs to mold room management staff for trouble shooting and mold repair. 3. Responsible for assisting with the installation of injection machinery and training technicians and direct support personnel on the correct methods in maintaining injection department raw materials and supplies and equipment. 4. Keep machines and equipment in good condition by performing repairs, cleaning, and maintenance. 5. Repair machines, mechanical equipment, and robot systems. 6. Work with safety… assist safety compliance supervisor with OSHA safety program, safety equipment installations & operational procedures. This includes plant contingency plan development & Near miss solution team. Trained as a plant emergency responder. 7. One must document and follow proper work procedures. If there is any issues, must collaborate with technicians, supervisors and management teams in resolving operational process and functional problems 8. Performs other duties as assigned by general manager. Qualifications 10+years’ experience in plastic molding environment. Swing shift (day 12hrs and night 12hrs) Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembling machinery. Familiarity with plastics blow molding, machining, and plastics extrusion processes is preferred. Experience with lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable. Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations. Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
