Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of process automation using a variety of control platforms. Perform analysis of processes to identify improvement opportunities, design, promote improvement projects, and manage their implementation. Lead development of intuitive standards for coding human-machine interface (“HMI”) and systems. Lead development of standards for all systems including Foxboro distributed control systems (“DCS”), Delta V, Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers (“PLC-5”) and ControlLogix Processors, InTouch, and System Platform. Responsible for required plant reliability of the assigned section as well as the long-term preservation of the plant regarding instrumentation, automation, and electrical. Prepare scheduled maintenance activities and support the determination of periodic functional testing activities together with the Reliability Manager and Plant Management. Generate work processing sheets and initiate and track periodic functional testing. Execute required testing and checks to ensure technical compliance. Coordinate independent projects as demanded by the project manager PCT. Provide technical assistance, process development, and designs to Plant Engineering for project work. Document and coordinate the keeping of piping and instrumentation diagrams (“P&ID”), PCT documentation (e.g., equipment specifications, loop drawings), and other technical documentation compliant to the PCT regulations. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (“PHA”) A3/A4 revalidations. Responsible for PCT aspects of the PHA and implement resulting corrections. Initiate, justify, and execute capital project.
