Process Engineer opening in the greater Hartford area, CT for a mid-sized parts and assemblies manufacturer. the ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with plastic injection molding processes and equipment. BS in Mechanical, Industrial or other Engineering discipline 2+ years process engineering experience (Plastic Injection Mold, metal stamping, or micromachining processes) Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing experience Mechanical experience with injection mold machinery and tooling. Ability to work on-site daily with the production team and engineering teams Company Benefits include: Medical, Dental, 401k, Profit Sharing, PTO, and Bonus potential location: Bloomfield, Connecticut job type: Permanent salary: $80,000 – 90,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Process improvement projects to improve efficiency through set-up time reduction, run rate improvement, and machine uptime for Injection Mold, metal stamping, or micromachining. Analyze close tolerance tooling and suggest improvementsSupports root cause analysis for customers (8D/s)Leads continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean #LI-CR1 qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 2 years of experience
