Job Description

The manufacturing engineer will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including designing tooling, to facilitate the processing of machined parts. The manufacturing engineer will collaborate with the machine programmers and production teams on various projects using in-depth knowledge of all machining processes. In addition to being a good communicator, all candidates should be creative thinkers with excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Asses all parts to determine issues or risks Manage product and process engineering related activities during the development stage from raw material to finished product. Develop the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing process, and sequence of production operations from supplied 3d models, blueprints, quality documents, and purchase orders. Facilitate production of new products by creating detailed process sheets and providing all manufacturing related information. Use CAD software (Solidworks) to develop models, special tooling and process sheets Supervise the manufacturing process of all products Develop proper work instructions for the operators, inspectors and shipping. Coordinate with other engineers, the customer, and quality to resolve engineering, manufacturing, and quality issues. Implement all Engineering / Revision Changes from the Customer to the process sheets, programs, etc. Interface directly with customers and suppliers with engineering related issues.

Requirements:

Aerospace manufacturing or relevant field Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Accurate and strong attention to detail Proficient with cad and modeling software Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Excellent Project Management skills Responsibilities Provide technical support as necessary Establish process metrics and goals Develop and issue process designs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering Familiarity with process control Excellent written and oral skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively
