This family-owned company specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and product assembly, and is seeking a Process Engineer. This role is instrumental in optimizing manufacturing processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting new product integration in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead process development for sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, forming, punching, and assembly operations.
Develop and implement work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and lead Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve throughput.
Support new product introductions (NPI) by collaborating with Design, Quality, and Production teams.
Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Evaluate and implement new technologies, tooling, and equipment to improve production capability.
Support
ISO 9001
2015 and customer-specific quality standards and audits.
Train operators and maintenance staff on new processes and best practices.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or process engineering role, preferably in a sheet metal or CNC fabrication environment.
Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), CAM, and ERP/MRP systems.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Familiarity with
ISO 9001
2015, OSHA, and safety compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with tooling, fixturing, and machine programming is a plus.
