Process Project Engineer Reporting Structure:
The Process Project Engineer will collaborate with the Senior Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Addressing operational challenges through analytical methods, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving. Updating and creating technical documents such as P&ID, PFD, and mass/energy balance. Diagnosing and resolving DCS and PLC issues, along with documenting control narratives for process adjustments. Crafting and refining scopes for upcoming projects, including the development of equipment specifications. Building and maintaining effective relationships with cross-functional teams including production, R D, and maintenance. Establishing professional credibility through the application of expertise and experience. Contributing to the development of operational sequences and conceptual control strategies. Efficiently managing multiple concurrent projects, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Active participation in PHA/HAZOP and other regulatory activities. Involvement in project commissioning and provision of technical support to achieve project objectives. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical). 2-4 years of relevant experience in engineering design within chemical plants or process/chemical equipment manufacturing. Hands-on approach and self-starting capabilities. Familiarity with piping and equipment codes, product safety standards, etc. Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, including pneumatics and automated control systems, is advantageous. Previous experience in an RMP and PSM environment. Exceptional troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of project management techniques. Willingness to travel moderately (10%).
