As a Cell Therapy ProcessEngineer I (MSAT) you will report to the Sr. Engineer, MSAT tosupport clinical manufacturing of Sana’s multiple allogeneicchimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell programs. As the technicalperson-in-plant, you will provide on the floor support at thecontract manufacturing site and technical oversight to drivemanufacturing excellence. You will work on internal and externalproject teams to support technology transfers, manufacturinginvestigations, and train manufacturing staff. You will developprocess trending tools, provide process improvementrecommendations, and play a key role in the lifecycle of Sana’sproducts. What you’ll do Serve as technical person-in-plant at thecontract manufacturing site providing on the floor technicalsupport to drive manufacturing excellence Collect and analyzemanufacturing data to identify areas for improvement Supportinvestigations, participate in root cause analyses, and recommendappropriate corrective actions Participate in technology transfersand support implementation of operational improvements formanufacturing processes Support training of manufacturing personnelto implement new processes and procedures Draft technical documentsincluding master batch records and components of technologytransfer packages Function as a manufacturing subject matter expertwithin the MSAT organization What we’re looking for Bachelor’s inChemical, Biological or Biomedical Engineering plus 4 yrs or MScplus 1-2 yrs or equivalent combination of education and workexperience > 2 years of experience in biologics, viral vector,or cell therapy manufacturing Detail-oriented with goodproblem-solving, technical writing and verbal communication skillsExcellent technical written and oral communication skills. Abilityto effectively work in multidisciplinary teams, meet deadlines, andprioritize multiple projects Aptitude for working in a self-driven,performance/results-oriented, fast-paced matrix environment A teamplayer who’s highly organized with excellent communication skills,demonstrates curiosity and scientific rigor and excellentproblem-solving skills What will separate you from the crowdExperience with cell therapy manufacturing processes and equipmentincluding T cell isolation, lentiviral transduction, gene editing,expansion in bioreactors, cell harvest, and cryopreservation Wellversed with cGMP requirements and working in a regulatedenvironment Prior experience supporting tech transfers to externalpartners Working knowledge of statistical Design of Experiments(DoE) Knowledge of R, Python, JMP, Spotfire. What you should knowTravel up to 50% of the time Work in a grade B space, includingsterile gowning Some weekend work This position requires handlingof healthy donor human blood products The base pay range for thisposition at commencement of employment is expected to be between$100,000
