Job Description About the role:

As theSenior Staff Engineer, you will manage scientific research,development, and testing of new products, manufacturing processes,and raw materials. You will contribute to Takeda’s mission bydeveloping innovative solutions to complex problems and mentoringjunior staff. You will report to the Head of DownstreamManufacturing Sciences.

How you will contribute:

Lead and initiateprojects, including design, oversight, and completing ofexperimental work, aimed at improving robustness, capacity, andproductivity of commercial downstream processes Provide technicalexpertise and leadership with experimental support fortroubleshooting of process discrepancies Provide oversite anddirection for departmental efforts to improve robustness, capacityProvide support to CMC strategy development Write and review studyproposals, development and commercial process description reportsMaintain lab equipment; identify improvements in lab operationsSupport/lead complex investigation in manufacturing Lead and mentorjunior staff as an in-line or matrix leader

MinimumRequirements/Qualifications:

A PhD in Chemical Engineering orrelated discipline with 6 years of relevant experience; or MS inChemical Engineering or related disciplines with 8 years ofexperience; or BS in Chemical Engineering or related disciplineswith 10 years of experience Have detailed understanding of proteinpurification unit operations Understand data analysis andstatistically driven experimental design (DoE) Participate onmultiple cross-functional teams Capability for strategic analysisand issue resolution and project management skills working in amatrix environment Familiarity with digital and data analyticstools More about us: At Takeda, we are transforming patient carethrough the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and bestin class patient support programs. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00

  • $215,270.

00 The estimated salary range reflects an anticipatedrange for this position. The actual base salary offered may dependon a variety of factors, including the qualifications of theindividual applicant for the position, years of relevantexperience, specific and unique skills, level of educationattained, certifications or other professional licenses held, andthe location in which the applicant lives and/or from which theywill be performing the job.

The actual base salary offered will bein accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for thejob location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-termand/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible toparticipate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan andcompany match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basiclife insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteertime off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.

U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendaryear, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible toaccrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
