JOB SUMMARY

The Process Engineer will support product andprocess technology development for JST Manufacturing in thesemiconductor equipment industry. Responsibilities includequalifying tools, running experiments, troubleshooting equipmentissues, and performing technical analysis at both customer sitesand in the JST Applications Lab. The role involves travel andworking with various chemicals and metrology tools.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate JST equipment in the Applications Lab andat customer sites to qualify tools per specifications. Conductwafer processing and run experiments for product development,engineering testing, and customer demos. Troubleshoot equipmentissues and collaborate with Field Service Engineers (FSEs) andother engineering staff. Handle and work with chemicals used in thesemiconductor manufacturing process. Analyze process data,including particles, metals, organics, surface roughness, anduniformity. Utilize metrology tools for wafer surfacecharacterization (e.g., surface scanners, thin film measurementtools, SEM, ICPMS, AFM, XPS). Make technical presentations tocustomers, JST management, and at technical conferences. Travel25-50% to customer sites for tool qualification and technicalsupport. Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Workcooperatively with team members, communicate design constraints,and work within the team to achieve solutions. Able to work invarious positions such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling,crouching, laying, reaching with hands and arms, grasp, handle andoperate hand and tools, as well as welding equipment. Responsiblefor other duties and task as assigned and, in some circumstances,may be completely unrelated to this position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS,SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES

Bachelor’s Education:

BS or MS in ChemicalEngineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience:

Semiconductor industry experience is preferred but notrequired.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with office products (e.g.,Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Basic analytical skills tointerpret and analyze process and metrology data. Familiarity withsemiconductor manufacturing metrology tools.

Soft Skills:

Excellentcommunication skills for interfacing with engineering teams andcustomers.
