Process Engineer III /Fiber optics

Hickory, NC (28601) Hybrid W2
Only Scope of Position:
A senior process engineer responsible for providing hands-on support for identifying and implementing process improvements for Single & Tandem Flow Ribbon production lines. Member of Process Improvement Team collaborating with a diverse team (mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, IT, operations, etc.) in a high-speed cable manufacturing setting. Design & execute experiments, analyze data, present results & recommendations Analyze data sets to identify relationships/capabilities for line performance Support Tandem lines in pilot production phase
Requirements:
Experience with high-speed optical fiber cable manufacturing equipment is a plus (jacketing, ribbon stranding, buffering) Effective technical leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities. Creative/innovative problem solving. Experience in successfully completing projects in a manufacturing environment. Excellent Analytical Skills – Decision-making based on data. Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others. Strong data analysis, interpretation, visualization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using software packages such as JMP, Minitab and Power-BI to analyze and display data.
