This is anexciting opportunity to help build a state-of-the-art facility andQuality System from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

TheEngineering Technician in Parenteral delivers solid technicalexpertise as the first line of engineering support to productionprocesses, transfer knowledge of equipment capabilities, and worksin conjunction with other engineering team members, as well asoperations and maintenance departments to ensure process equipmentreadiness and reliability. The Engineering Technician isresponsible for equipment performance by supporting engineeringinitiatives and implementing process improvement projects. Thisposition requires expertise in production processes, commissioning,qualification, and validation of assets. This position will helpensure that equipment is maintained in a qualified state, can beoperated safely, and maintenance is properly performed on thesystems.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

The Engineering Technician inParenteral has the following objectives, but not limited to: Act asthe first line of engineering support. Investigate and resolveissues with process equipment in Filling, Formulation, Equipmentpreparation, Inspection and Robotics that create production delays.

Transfer knowledge of equipment capabilities and operationaltechniques to operators and maintenance. Implement tools foroperations and engineering to learn and work more proficiently.

Coordination of engineering contractors and vendors. Work closelywith process and automation engineers to assist duringqualification, engineering studies, cycle development,investigations, and process changes, providing technical reports,redlining drawings & specifications. Work closely with othertechnicians to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical,automation and instrumentation issues. Implement tools foroperations and engineering to learn and work more proficiently.

Assist maintenance in: Troubleshooting activities. Job plansreviews. Participating in periodic reviews of equipment state.

Identify opportunities for process improvements using equipmentperformance data and communicate to process and/or automationengineers. Plan and execute small projects for process andautomation equipment improvements. Work with the process areaowners and operations personnel in development of equipment design,procedures, engineering studies and maintenance practices that willenable the process to operate as required. Find and eliminatesafety issues with the equipment and processes. Execution ofPre-Start Up Safety (PSSR) reviews. Participate in safety reviewsand audits, as required. Perform activities in accordance with GMPsand applicable procedures. Understand the production process andcritical process parameters. Assure that operational andmaintenance procedures and practices reflect safety concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED Previous experiencedirectly supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing. Solidexperience in a GMP manufacturing environment. Solid experience ininstrumentation, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Experiencein instrumentation, PLC and/or HMI programming. Studio 5000 andFactoryTalk View SE programming experience.

Additional Preferences:

Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative environment.

Knowledge of Filling, Isolator, Autoclaves, Parts Washers,Inspection equipment and other Parenteral manufacturing operationsStrong equipment/process troubleshooting skills. Demonstratedproficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient at typing andwriting technical documents. Demonstrated ability to workindependently with strong organizational skills and attention todetail and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and communications skillswith a service attitude. Responsible for maintaining a safe workenvironment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSECorporate and Site Goals. Previous experience with highly automatedequipment Knowledge of Parenteral equipment and manufacturingoperations Experience with computerized maintenance managementsystems.

Other Information:
