Senior Process Engineer Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The Process Engineer will maintain reliability and safemanufacturing systems while improving production rates,efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. The Process Engineerwill identify, develop, and implement improvements to constantlyimprove site safety, process capability and production volume whilemaintaining and improving quality standards.

DUTIES:

Providessupport to the engineering department. Verifies and tests assignedmetrics on projects. Enters test results into quality controldatabase. Identifies potential areas of product improvement;recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.

Ensures compliance with applicable company and client qualityrequirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, andareas. Identifies and reports problems with specific processes orproducts to the respective teams. Assists engineers in thedevelopment of new methods to improve product quality and processefficacy and efficiency. Collaborates with project staff to createa strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time,labor, and other resources required to complete the project.

Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans anddesigns. Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, andpractices used in the project. Assesses the competence,capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.

Supervises progress of development project. Compares the actualcost of development project to estimates. Collaborates with designgroup to change plans if problems arise. Analyzes equipment,systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications toimprove efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs. Preparesperiodic progress and cost reports for leadership and production.

Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, andpolicies. Collaborates with the operations department to identifyand troubleshoot problems. Collaborates with project engineers fromother plants to share problems and solutions. Performs otherrelated duties as assigned.
