(VWT) is currently seeking aProcess Engineer II for our Cary, NC office. This position willprovide engineering support for Kruger product lines. SUMMARY Thepurpose of this position is to provide engineering support forKruger product lines.
Duties include:
preliminary and finaldetailed process design, proposal preparation,modeling/simulations, equipment specification and selection, writecontrol system functional descriptions, plant start-up and operatortraining, plant operations support and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate budgetary design proposalsGenerate P&IDs Complete preliminary designs using the designtools and models provided by the BU Perform data analyses andsummarize conclusions of the analyses Solicit vendor quotes whichmeet project specifications Generate EDS based on projectspecification requirements Generate and conduct a general review ofproject specifications and construction plans (relative to Krugerscope) Develop sampling protocols Develop a process design fromconceptual level to highly detailed level Conduct a detailed reviewof project plans and specifications Generate process riskmemorandums, which summarize the process performance requirements,key design elements, risk factors and penalties for not meetingprocess performance requirements Correctly size equipment andhydraulic elements (e.g. piping, weirs, channels, troughs, gates,flow-control valves, etc) Perform modeling (steady state anddynamic loading) with Veolia provided software Complete detailedprocess designs Perform peer reviews of P&IDs, process designs,calculations, data analyses Train operations staff on how theprocess is to perform (including functionality of the controlsystem) Generate performance test protocols Perform lab scaletesting and analysis Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree inengineering required. 3-7 years of experience in process design ofwater and wastewater treatment.
