Job Description

The Regional Plant Engineer has responsibility for the identification, design, and management of capital projects with typical values ranging from $50M to $5MM. They also periodically serve as a team member for larger strategic growth projects. This individual plays a key role in identifying and leading process improvement opportunities and working with plant management and operations to improve plant capacities and efficiencies. They are also capable of leading PLC installations and implementations of capital projects as well as providing general automation plant support. The Regional Plant Engineer serves up to sixteen plant locations across the North America region. Responsibilities Provide engineering support to multiple facilities located across North America. Identifying, designing, and managing capital projects ranging from $25M to $5MM. Identifying and leading process improvement opportunities and identifying methods to improve plant capacities and efficiencies. Analyze process systems and implement simple, yet effective changes to increase production in coordination with management and operations. Provide automation and controls support to plants on site and remotely in the way of leading PLC implementations, installations, and troubleshooting existing systems. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. PE license in one of these disciplines is a plus. Three plus years of experience in a plant manufacturing setting. Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects from $5M to $5MM. Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to interact with operators, vendors and upper management. Must have CAD experience, with AutoCAD preferably. Electrical, instrumentation, and PLC experience strongly desired.
