Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Hot Operations Process Engineer to optimize and enhance processes within the glass fiberization area. This role is crucial in ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement. You will lead process improvement initiatives, collaborate with various teams, and act as a technical expert in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and address safety concerns within the glass fiberization area, fostering a safe working environment.
Analyze and organize data to pinpoint sources of process inefficiencies and waste.
Utilize structured improvement methodologies to lead quality and process enhancement projects, driving profitability.
Lead small teams of hourly employees to implement process changes and conduct equipment audits.
Monitor, trend, and optimize process key performance indicators to ensure stability and capability.
Serve as the technical expert in glass fiberizing operations, troubleshooting and resolving performance-related issues.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and formal presentations on process performance metrics.
Collaborate with the Maintenance & Engineering team to mitigate recurring equipment failures and enhance reliability through preventive maintenance strategies.
Work closely with Quality Engineers to address quality and efficiency challenges through targeted process improvements.
Partner with equipment and material suppliers to resolve performance and quality concerns.
Develop and maintain ISO-controlled documentation while conducting internal ISO audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Expertise in formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
Proficiency in statistical process control software.
Skilled in Microsoft Office and email communication.
Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Minimal travel required.
