About the

Role:

As a Process Technician , you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our injection molding machines and related equipment. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with troubleshooting and process optimization to ensure we meet and exceed production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up injection molding presses, molds, and automation systems Adjust and document processes to maintain high product quality and efficiency Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime Use statistical methods to monitor and refine processes Collaborate with the Quality Department to meet customer requirements Ensure proper documentation of process changes and improvements

What You Bring:

High school diploma or GED At least 2 year of experience in a manufacturing environment Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude Technical knowledge of injection molding, resistance welding, and industrial controls Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems, process monitoring, and plant safety Flexibility to work Second Shift and other varying shifts as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with Engel molding machines, Wittman robots, dryers, and fully automated systems Skilled in using calipers, height gauges, hand/power tools, and computers Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage tasks independently Over 2 years of experience working with specialized injection molding equipment for automotive plastic parts Why Join Wirthwein?
