This position will report directly to theEngineering Supervisor. As a Chemical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the NewJohnsonville team gaining valuable experience through hands-onprojects in a chemical plant . You will have exposure to real-timeengineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’velearned in the classroom. Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicatewith impact , have strong self-awareness, and will be naturallyinquisitive.

Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Preferred First Term:

January – May 2025 Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6)months as a co-op. Two (2) or more terms may be required if one ofthe terms is a summer term . The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limitedto, the following: Work ing with experienced engineering professionals onimprovement and expansion projects Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, rootcause analysis, and problem solving Participating in process safety management activities andreviews Contributing to team meetings and conference calls The following is required for this role : Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a risingSophomore or above at time of assignment Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering orsimilar fields Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point The following is preferred for this role : Participation in relevant activities , organizations, andprojects beyond the classroom 3.0 GPA or above
