Our client is currently seeking a Associate Process Engineering Manager for their Manufacturing facility near Bartlett TN (Memphis Area) The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating process related engineering activities for Operations in a safe and cost effective manner. Candidates who have led & managed Process Improvement / Process Efficiency along with project management experience are preferred. this person should have a good understanding of Reliability based tools, Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement methods like DMAIC and 5s. Candidates with experience in Oil/Gas, Metals, Chemicals, Foundries, or Glass Manufacturing would be preferred. Carries out engineering activities as required to improve manufacturing operations, quality control, process control, safety, yields and pollution control. Ensure equipment and processes comply with all codes and regulations. Helps to develop and support practical and affordable engineering solutions for production problems and bottlenecks Helps to establish and monitor compliance with engineering policies/ procedures for installation, modification, testing, and operation of new as well as existing equipment. Supervises major installations. Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications Responsible for periodic auditing of all assets to ensure that they properly run and are maintained. Leads continuous improvement process in all areas of plant operations. Develops technical improvements to improve recoveries. Manage the company Continuous Improvement Program. Develop and direct projects to improve process efficiency, throughput, and reduce conversion cost. Track performance versus budgeted cost savings goals. Utilizes production data captured to prioritize process improvements in efficiency. Provides data and analytic information and coaching to the teams and individuals who will drive the delivery of improvements. Observes, analyzes and documents existing production processes and recommends design changes as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Preferred 5+ Years of Experience in Process Design, Process Engineering or Process Excellence within Manufacturing Knowledge of SAP & AutoCAD Strong Proficiency for Statistical Process Controls, DMAIC & 5s Methods Ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
