Job Description
Senior Designer 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Coral Gables, FL • Hybrid work Provide Engineering, Design work, and drafting of plans. Implementation of approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plans. Sketches, rough layouts to review with project team. Reviews product cut sheets and technical information. Proactively anticipate potential problems and closely partner with Project team to resolve. Manage vendor relationships including regular meetings with vendors to determine spatial requirements for application of the product. Coordinates with other disciplines and the architect. Independently manage workload and develop strategy to adhere to project schedule. Attend in-house coordination meetings when appropriate. Contribute to development of engineering systems concepts (M/E). Development of final design documents including specification, sequences of operation, piping layout, and final construction documents. Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems. Responsible for organizing required technical correspondence, emails, and calculations. Perform field work and verification of existing conditions. Position is based out of Bard, Rao + Athanas Consulting Engineers’ office in Coral Gables, Florida. Minimum Requirements.: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. 4 years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. 4 years of experience designing projects in any combination of the following: healthcare, higher education, or laboratory. 4 years of experience utilizing Revit. 4 years of experience utilizing Bluebeam. Ability to work in the Coral Gables office 3 days per week.
